Our Hidden River Story

Hidden River Coffee Roasters began with a simple Christmas gift.

In 2015, Brandon's wife Serene gave him a small home coffee roaster. What started as curiosity quickly became an obsession with discovering the incredible flavors hidden inside specialty coffee. Within a year, a small backyard roasting operation was born.

But the name Hidden River came from somewhere else entirely.

One afternoon, while crossing a familiar bridge in Camas, Washington, Brandon noticed something he had never truly seen before. Beneath the surface of a lake flowed the original creek—a hidden river that had continued its journey for decades, unseen by most who passed above it.

The image stuck.

That hidden river became a symbol of something deeper: the passions, dreams, and possibilities that often exist beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered.

In 2016, Hidden River Coffee Roasters was officially founded.

In 2018, we opened our first roastery and coffeehouse, creating a place where people could slow down, connect, and find their own Hidden River. Over the years, our passion for exceptional coffee led us to expand into wholesale roasting and private label partnerships, helping businesses share remarkable coffee with their own customers.

Today, while the coffeehouse has been sold, Hidden River Coffee Roasters continues to focus on what inspired us from the beginning: sourcing exceptional coffees, roasting them with care, and helping businesses and coffee lovers create meaningful experiences around a truly great cup of coffee.
